High Demand For Appointments

High Demand For Appointments

As a result of seasonal illnesses and staffing difficulties outside of our control, we have unprecedented demand on our available appointments.

We are doing our utmost to provide a service and your support would be greatly appreciated.

In order to ensure those who are most unwell are seen as quickly as needed we remind you that the ‘Same Day Surgery(SDS) ‘ is reserved for urgent problems only, i.e. problems that cannot wait until a routine appointment that may be 2-3 weeks away.

Please do not book into SDS simply for convenience as this will reduce appointments for our more unwell patients.

Also, as ever, please cancel appointments no longer needed as many appointments are wasted when patients do not attend without notification.

Thanks for your support and understanding at this difficult time.

Road Closure Ferry Road South Cave 22nd January for 2-4 weeks

Please note that Yorkshire Water have planned works on Ferry Road (near Costcutter) from 22nd January for 2- 4 weeks.  During this time there will be no through access for cars and diversions will be in place.  Please allow extra travel time to get to your appointments.  In an emergency we would always advise that you call 999 rather than attempting to come down to the surgery.  In particular severe chest pain or severe breathing difficulties please do not attempt to drive to us.  The diversions will add at least 15-20 mins to your travel time.

Dr Noble Leaving The Practice

Dr Noble will be leaving the practice from the 15th February 2018.  He has been with the practice since 2009 working at both Brough and South Cave.  He has recently been offered and accepted a job working in Hull as a GP with an interest in Older Peoples Health.  This is a new and exciting venture which looks at expanding the role of GPs  to manage patients with multiple complex conditions in the community rather than in hospital.

"I am very sad to be leaving the Ridings Medical Group after 8 years.  I will miss the patients and staff who have made my time here so rewarding.  This new role is one I have worked towards for many years and an exciting opportunity that I could not let pass by.  I hope that the work we do in Hull will soon extend to the East Riding and that I may once again have the opportunity to work with Staff and patients at the Ridings Medical Group"
